The NYPD wants your help recruiting!

Dear GOAL Members,

Recently, the NYPD's fraternal organizations were asked to help the Department’s recruiting efforts. This is a great opportunity to reach out to the LGBTQ community as members of the Gay Officers Action League. Please email the message below to anyone you know who you think would be a good fit for the NYPD. Now is the time that we can make a difference in the Department. Be aware the registration period for the January tests will begin December 27, 2016, so this is somewhat time sensitive.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Fraternally,

Brian Downey

President, Gay Officers Action League

Share the message below with your family and friends that may be interested in joining the NYPD:

Dear Family Member or Friend,

I am writing to you in hopes that you will take a moment to consider joining the New York City Police Department. A career as a Police Officer is an exciting and meaningful way to make a difference and help those around us. Additionally, becoming an NYPD Police Officer gives opportunity to be promoted to Detective and Sergeant, and eventually Lieutenant and Captain. All uniformed positions come with paid health care, a pension plan, and paid vacation provided by the City. These jobs have been the cornerstone of this great city for over one hundred years. I proudly serve the Department and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. On December 27, 2016, the City will announce registration test dates for the Police Officer exams which will be given in January 2017. While the test dates will not be announced until the 27th, you can click on the link below now to receive alerts and see how to apply. You can have a great career while helping make a difference in this great city.

Sincerely,

Your Name, your rank

Gay Officers Action League
