1PP Pride Celebration - June 9th

Show your pride at GOAL’s annual celebration at NYPD Police Headquarters. Details are, as follows:

One Police Plaza Auditorium, Manhattan, 1700 hours doors Open, 1800 hours program begins.

The theme for this year’s celebration is the women of GOAL. A video presentation featuring retired members: Fran DeBenedictis - former Executive Director of GOAL who filed a lawsuit for GOAL members to have the ability to march in dress uniform, to have a celebration at Police Headquarters and to have access to Department resources; and Colleen Meenan - a sergeant who left the NYPD to be a lawyer and represented GOAL in the historic lawsuit. In addition, GOAL is presenting the Ally Award to the LGBTQIA+ Advisory Committee for their work and unwavering support of GOAL.

Full duty uniformed members in attendance must appear in Class A dress uniform.

There will be drag entertainment from the one and only Countess Mascara, and as always, food and refreshments will be provided.

This takes the place of the regular General Membership Meeting. Please do not go to the Stonewall Inn, they are having a private event.

The Administrative Guide has a procedure for attending fraternal events and marches on job time at the discretion of member’s commanding officer. Please contact your commanding officer or administrative office if you would like to participate on job time prior to asking GOAL for assistance.

Visitors will undergo a security screening, which includes a magnetometer and a bag check. NYPD members may park in available spots around police headquarters. Non-NYPD members who requested parking will be able to park in the frozen zone on Madison Street,
